Holy Hush Puppies

Ingredients

2 package Lodge True Southern Cornbread mix or 6 cups

5 eggs

¼ Cup sugar

1 tsp salt

2 tsp garlic powder

3 Cups Mayfield buttermilk

½ Cup chopped jalapenos, plus juice

1 Cup creamed corn

1 Cup small diced green onion

1 Cup shredded cheddar cheese

Oil for deep fryer

Directions

Mix dry ingredients well. Add remaining in ingredients to the dry mix using buttermilk. Mix until moistened, do not overmix. Drop by rounded tablespoons into hot oil for three minutes or until golden brown, turning once. Drain on paper towel
