While visiting my daughter, Telva Jenkins, in South Pittsburg, I attended my first National Cornbread Festival. I had a great time and can't wait to get back home in California to take the Cornbread Alley recipes to friends and brag about the fantastic time I had.

My Mom, best friend, Virginia, and I drove from Birmingham, AL and were not surprised for it was everything we hoped and more. The town buildings are beautiful with a wow back-drop. I do regret paying to park on Government property, but know where to park next time. I hope my recipe gets chosen next year for the cook-off! Thanks again for a really great time and great souvenirs.

Greetings from Texas! I hated to miss the 2008 National Cornbread Festival. Can't wait to hear all about it. Hopefully, this will be the last one that I'll ever miss. My daughter and I have been to the last 2 festivals and loved it. We travel from Conyers, Ga. and love the T-Shirts. We are so distressed we can't make it this year and will miss out on getting our T-Shirt. Can we buy one online?

I drive 800 miles think nothing of the admission price see all the great things the festival as done for the community and the only ones whining about the price of admission is the local people. What's up with that? I have been to several festival's and nothing comes close the National Cornbread Festival.. Keep up the good work..

I think you need to lose the admission price. I was at the very first 2 cornbread festivals and I really enjoy it but now I am married and have 2 kids. I can't afford admission plus armbands and food. I was going to come this year but we have to drive from Dunlap which is about 30 miles and with the gas prices, armbands, concessions, and $9.00 just to enter is way too high. thank you very much and have a wonderful day.
