History of Cornbread

Author Crescent Dragonwagon will be autographing copies of her book “The Cornbread Gospels” during the 12th Annual National Cornbread Festival April 26 - 27 in South Pittsburg, TN. Along with selling and autographing “Cornbread Gospels,” Dragonwagon will be providing historical information on cornbread in the competition area on 2nd Street.

Dragonwagon is featured in the March edition of Relish magazine promoting her most recent release, “Passionate Vegetarian.” Relish is a monthly food publication and is inserted in numerous newspapers around the country, including the Chattanooga Times Free-Press.

The author of 10 works of juvenile fiction and cooking, Dragonwagon spent six years researching “Cornbread Gospels,” which has become a source of history, recipes and fast facts for fans of cornbread. “The Cornbread Gospels” will be sold at the Lodge Factory Store and the Lodge Product Tent on 2nd Street during the festival.
